This year Title III assisted with the second annual Technology Day at Peninsula College.  The day was a resounding success with 233 participants who enjoyed a day of presentations, demonstrations and discussions.  The presentations were recorded and available on the Peninsula College Intranet.  We have pulled together a summary page for the public here on our website.  If you are interested in more information about Technology Day 2011 take a look at our public Tech Day 2011 page.

In the most recent installment of the Title III Electric Lunch (1/31/2011) Steve Baxter led a great presentation about Windows 7 and how to make it work for you.  If you would like a copy of Steve's slides click the following link to download a .pdf copy Windows 7 Tips and Tricks.pdf (4.06 mb).  I (Eric Waterkotte) gave a presentation on Office 2010 and some of the slick new features that you will find helpful.  We are now using the Tegrity lecture capture system to record the presentations so if you would like to watch the presentations from today, please visit the Electric Lunch Page to view the recordings.  I would like to sincerely thank Steve Baxter for taking the time to give a great presentation on Windows 7, I loved learning about the "shake" feature!

In the most recent installment of the Title III Electric Lunch (11/1/2010) we looked at the Tegrity Lecture Recording system and kicked off the digital lesson content Faculty Learning Community.  The presentation covering the Tegrity Lecture Capture System was recorded using Tegrity and is now available online.  Please visit the Electric Lunch Page to view the recording.

On February 8th 2010 Peninsula College hosted its first "Technology Day" where the idea was to bring a technology conference to the campus.  We had a variety of presenters and activities all centered around teaching, learning and technology.  The keynote speaker was Dr. Cable Green from the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.  His keynote presentation was titled "How digital, networked technologies and sharing changes education".  We have produced and published the keynote speach for reference and repeated viewing.  The recording is broken into three parts.  To view the presentation visit the Technology Day 2010 page.
